Maveron, a consumer-only venture capital firm with offices in Seattle and San Francisco, has hired David Wu as a venture partner in its San Francisco office.
Wu will join Maveron’s San Francisco office to help identify emerging consumer internet companies with the potential to become global leaders.
“Maveron’s mission has always been to partner with world-class entrepreneurs to build extraordinary consumer companies, and David lives by the same ethos,” says Dan Levitan, co-founder and partner at Maveron. “He has walked in the entrepreneur’s shoes and brings extensive strategic and operating experience from his years of working with startups; we welcome him to the Maveron team.”
Wu is an active angel investor and successful entrepreneur, with strong ties to the Silicon Valley entrepreneurial community. He has invested in over a dozen internet startups, including Practice Fusion, Sociable Labs, Postmates, Beautylish, and Taulia. He is currently a member of the board of directors of Line2 and SeatMe.
