Wynnchurch Capital, a middle-market private equity investment firm, has appointed Jim Goodwin, former chairman and chief executive of UAL and United Airlines, and Joe Anderson, former chairman, CEO and majority owner of TAG, to the firm’s executive advisory board.
Established earlier this year, the executive advisory board connects influential business leaders with portfolio company leadership to pass on expertise and acumen in targeted industries, geographic markets and business disciplines.
Goodwin (pictured) is currently the non-executive chairman of the board of Federal Signal Corporation and serves on the boards of directors of AAR, JB Technologies and the board of trustees of Lewis University. He served as interim chief executive and interim president of Federal Signal Corporation from 2007 to 2008. Previously, he was the chairman and CEO of United Airlines and UAL Corporation where he held various leadership positions across all facets of the airline industry.
Anderson served as chairman, CEO and majority owner of TAG Holdings, the fifth largest minority owned business in the US and a global provider of manufacturing and supply chain services targeting the aerospace, automotive, construction and defence industries. He was the immediate past chairman of the Manufacturing Council with the US Dept. of Commerce and serves on the boards of directors of Quaker Chemical Corporation, Meritor, NV Energy, Valassis Communications and Rite Aid Corporation. He held various senior leadership positions at General Motors and had a highly decorated career in the US Army.
