Private equity placement agent BerchWood Partners has made two new hires and three promotions.
Russell A Breuer has joined the firm as a vice president. He brings 12 years of experience in institutional fundraising, private placements, and strategy consulting.
Brian E Infante is joining as an analyst and has two years of experience in financial analysis and reporting. Both will be based at the firm’s New York office.

Prior to BerchWood, Breuer was a member of the business development team at Zephyr Management, raising capital for a diverse range of emerging market strategies, including country-focused private equity funds and global equity offerings. He also worked as a principal for Nash Fitzwilliams in London, a corporate finance advisory and private equity firm focusing on equity and debt private placements.
Infante joins from Boston-based MIDIOR Consulting, where he worked as associate consultant assisting with management and strategic consulting projects as well as tech service assignments. Prior to his time at MIDIOR, Infante worked as a summer analyst for Griffin Asset Management and First Brokers Securities.
BerchWood has also named Alexander Chaplin as a principal and promoted both Kyle Abel and François Rowell to vice president.
A member of the London team since 2008, Chaplin has nine years of alternative investment fundraising experience working on all aspects of the private fund placement field and is responsible for managing fundraising assignments and relationships with limited partners and fund managers across Europe and Africa.
Rowelljoined BerchWood’s London team in 2012 and has eight years of financial services experience. He works on origination and distribution across Europe, Asia and Africa.
Abel, a New York team member since March 2014, has over 13 years of experience in institutional marketing, private placements, and fundraising, and is responsible for originating and managing fundraising assignments and maintaining relationships with limited partners in North America.
