Garageio is to be one of the initial investments of Amazon’s Alexa Fund, which has been established to provide developers, manufacturers, and start-ups of all sizes who are passionate about creating new experiences designed around the human voice.
Garageio was founded in 2012 by Zak Dziczkowski and Dave Reif to bring a home-automation upgrade to existing garage doors. Garageio allows a customer to quickly find out if their garage door is open or if the alarm is set using a simple voice command. Users can then close their garage door from anywhere in their house.
