TA Associates makes new hires in Boston and Menlo Park

Private equity firm TA Associates has added to its investment team in the firm’s Boston and Menlo Park offices. 

Michael Libert and Lee Mooney have rejoined the firm as Vice Presidents in Boston, while Sarah Wang has joined the firm as a Vice President in Menlo Park.

“We are excited to expand our investment team with the addition of Sarah and the return of Michael and Lee to TA Associates,” says Brian J Conway, Chairman and Managing Director at TA Associates. “We believe our firm has a strong, global network of talented professionals, and these individuals bring a depth of knowledge in TA’s focus industries. We look forward to their contributions as we continue to seek new investment opportunities and partner with companies in our existing portfolio to help accelerate growth.”

Libert focuses on investments in technology companies across North America. Prior to attending graduate school, he served as an Associate in the Boston office of TA Associates. He previously served as an Associate Consultant in the Private Equity and Technology Groups at Bain & Company, Inc. Libert received an AB, cum laude, in Economics from Harvard College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Mooney focuses on investments in consumer and healthcare companies across North America. Prior to attending graduate school, he served as an Associate in the Boston office of TA Associates. He previously served as an Analyst in the Global Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Mooney received a BS, magna cum laude, in Finance from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA, with Distinction, from the Harvard Business School.

Wang focuses on investments in financial and business services companies across North America. Prior to attending graduate school, she was a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group. She previously served as a Global Capital Markets Analyst at Morgan Stanley. Wang received an AB, cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, in Economics and a Citation in Mandarin Chinese from Harvard University and an MBA as an Arjay Miller Scholar and Siebel Scholar from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
