SHS sells shareholding in Emerging Implant Technologies to Johnson & Johnson Medical

SHS Gesellschaft fuer Beteiligungsmanagement, MBG Baden-Württemberg and VC Fonds BW announced that SHS has sold its shareholding in Emerging Implant Technologies (EIT), a manufacturer of 3D-printed titanium interbody implants for spinal fusion surgery, to Johnson & Johnson Medical.

SHS became EIT’s lead investor in September 2016 and has supported the company’s growth strategy ever since. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

We look forward to see EIT´s unique products and Cellular Titanium technology benefit from DePuy Synthes global commercial infrastructure and products. We wish EIT all the best in their future development and trust that the company is in good hands with its new owners,” says Dr Bernhard Schirmers, Managing Partner of SHS, lead investor with EIT.
