Innova Capital, a CEE private equity fund, is to acquire 33 per cent of the shares in OSHEE, a provider of isotonic and functional drinks in the Polish market.
In the last 10 years, OSHEE became the indisputable leader on the Polish sports and vitamin functional beverage market, selling its products to 45 countries on 6 continents and generating revenues of approximately PLN250 million. In 2017, the Company acquired Kinga Pienińska, a high-quality mineral water producer in Poland. Following the integration of both companies and the expansion of the production facility, the production capacity in mineral water increased almost threefold.
In the years to come, the Company plans to dynamically develop its brands, including investments in distribution coverage and advertising to expand the position of Kinga Pienińska on the mineral water market in Poland. Further acquisitions of other FMCG brands with leading positions in their categories, both in Poland and abroad, and will be an integral part of the strategy.
In order to support the company in pursuing these goals, the owners of OSHEE Polska have decided to partner with a strong player, with experience that can help them grow the organisation, introduce modern management methods, build a strong position on international markets and facilitate financing of investment and acquisition plans. Innova Capital will initially acquire a structured minority interest, partly replacing the company’s private shareholders. Solter Capital has joined Innova Capital as minority partner in the consortium.
