Varagon Capital Partners has appointed Michael Broderick as Managing Director of Healthcare Originations.
In this role, Broderick will be responsible for originating and structuring transactions for middle market private equity firms in the Healthcare sector. Previously, Broderick originated debt, equity co-investments and banking opportunities with Capital One’s private equity clients. Broderick will be based in New York and report to Steve Warden, Partner and Head of Healthcare at Varagon.
Warden says: “We welcome Mike, along with his experience and strong relationships, to Varagon. We’ve made a significant investment in augmenting our Healthcare resources in 2018, and look forward to deploying these resources in conjunction with our private equity clients.”
Prior to Capital One, Broderick oversaw the healthcare sponsor finance team for CapitalSource. He began his career at GE Capital where he held various positions within the healthcare and sponsor finance teams. Broderick earned a BA degree from College of the Holy Cross and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
