Duff & Phelps has appointed Tyrone Courtman as a Managing Director in the firm’s Restructuring Advisory practice.
Based in Birmingham, Courtman will focus on restructuring advisory for corporate clients based in the East Midlands.
Courtman is a Chartered Accountant, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner. He joins Duff & Phelps from PKF Cooper Parry LLP, where he was the lead partner of the firm’s business restructuring, recovery and insolvency services practice.

Courtman has over 25 years of experience advising lenders, corporates, distressed investors and individuals in complex financial restructuring and recovery situations across a broad range of industry sectors and jurisdictions. He is also Chairman of the ICAEW Restructuring and Insolvency community, Vice President of the Leicestershire and Northamptonshire Society of Chartered Accountants, a member of the Turnaround Management Association’s (TMA) Global Board of Trustees and a member of the TMA Europe Board.
