Access Holdings, a Baltimore-based mid-market investment firm specialising in building enduring businesses, has appointed Kimberly (Kim) Kile as the firm’s first-ever Head of Investor Relations and Communications.
As the head of investor relations and member of the executive team, Kile will lead fundraising efforts for the firm’s flagship funds, co-investments, and new products. Additionally, Kile will source and cultivate new relationships with potential investors and work closely with the firm’s existing limited partners. Kile will also lead Access’s public relations efforts with oversight over the firm’s fundraising, communications, and marketing.
“As Head of Investor Relations & Communications at Access Holdings, Kim will play a key role nurturing relationships with Access’s current investors, cultivating relationships with new ones, and working closely with the whole team to grow the Access platform,” says Access Holdings Founder and Managing Partner Kevin McAllister.
Kile comes to Access Holdings with more than 17 years of experience leading fundraising efforts and cultivating relationships with investors. Prior to joining Access, Kile served as General Partner, Head of Fundraising, Investor Relations, and Marketing for the Baltimore-based growth equity firm ABS Capital Partners. Kile was first introduced to senior leadership at Access Holdings by her former ABS Capital colleague and current Access Holdings Managing Director Michael Rodgers.
“Having previously worked with Kim for three years, I have seen her strong work ethic and fundraising expertise first-hand,” says Access Holdings Managing Director Michael Rodgers. “I am thrilled that she is joining Access Holdings in such a senior role.” Originally from Pennsylvania, Kile moved to Baltimore in 2003 to join ABS Capital and has since received a master’s degree in Finance from the University of Baltimore. With her personal and professional life centered firmly in Baltimore, Kile is excited to join a firm so entrenched in the Charm City’s tight-knit community. Kile is also an avid marathon runner who sees parallels between training for races and her work fundraising and cultivating relationships.
“I love to set a goal, create a plan, and flawlessly execute it, which transitions very easily into what I love both about running and fundraising,” says Kile. “I am excited to begin connecting investors to such a successful and growing firm that is committed to building enduring market leading businesses.”
