The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has is to make an investment of $15 million in Singapore-based private equity firm KV Asia Capital’s second fund.
The fund, which has a target of $300 million, targets buyout and control investments in mid-cap companies across Southeast Asia, and takes a sector agnostic approach with a focus on the consumer, manufacturing, education, healthcare, and services sectors.
KV Asia Capital held a first close of the fund in June 2021 at $100 million. The company’s first fund, which closed in late 2013, exceeded its $250-million target having attracted commitments from pension funds, endowments, financial institutions, fund of funds, and family offices.
