Addition of M&A lawyer boosts MoFo’s M&A and India practice

Morrison & Foerster has appointed Amit Kataria as of counsel in the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group in its Hong Kong office. 

Representing corporations, financial sponsors, and portfolio companies, Kataria brings a wealth of experience advising on mergers and acquisitions, and on a broad range of transactional and advisory matters including private equity, securities offerings, and other corporate transactions.

Qualified to practice in New York, Hong Kong, and Delhi (India), Kataria’s experience advising on M&A transactions across these regions gives him a unique perspective on global M&A work. His India experience provides further breadth to our corporate M&A practice advising our Asian and international clients in their investments in the region. His practice focuses on advising regional and international strategic acquirers and financial investors on Indian inbound and outbound transactions. He also regularly advises on various litigaion and enforcement matters in India.

Kataria joins Morrison & Foerster from Davis Polk & Wardwell. He received his LL.M. from Columbia Law School in 2007, his LL.B. from the University of Delhi in 2004, and his B.A. from the University of Delhi in 2001.
