Advantage Capital has appointed James O’Rourke as a managing director based in New York.
A seasoned investor and portfolio manager, O’Rourke will focus on developing the firm’s reach in the northeastern region of the US. O’Rourke brings 12 years of experience in debt and equity investing in a wide variety of sectors, including the consumer, manufacturing, technology, health care, and telecommunication industries.

Prior to joining the firm, O’Rourke served as a managing director at Lampe, Conway & Co. LLC, an investment fund based in New York that focuses on distressed and special situations investment, where he sourced and helped manage a large portfolio of investments. During his tenure, O’Rourke served as a board member or observer for a number of companies, including MOBI, a software-as-a-service company that centralises and optimizss routing and scheduling for mobile resources.
