AE Industrial Partners (AEI), a private equity firm specialising in aerospace, national security, and industrial services, has promoted Charlie Compton, Kirk Konert and Jon Nemo to Managing Partner.
The appointments, which are effective immediately, expand the Managing Partnership to five members.
Compton, who joined AEI in 2014, primarily focuses on commercial aerospace, business aviation and industrial services investments. Compton joined the firm’s Investment Committee in 2021 and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the firm’s portfolio companies AIM MRO, Blue Raven Solutions, GS Precision, Kellstrom and Moeller Aerospace. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Georgia.
Konert, who joined AEI in 2014, primarily focuses on the space, defence and government services sectors. Konert currently serves on the Board of Directors of the firm’s portfolio companies Belcan, BigBear.ai, Calca Solutions, Columbia Helicopters, Firefly Aerospace, Redwire, ThayerMahan and York Space Systems. Konert joined the firm’s Investment Committee in 2021. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Davidson College.
