Akin has expanded its PE capabilities with the appointment of Elina Alperovich as a private equity Transactions Partner based in the firm’s New York office. Alperovich joins from Apollo Global Management where she served as Transaction Counsel.
Alperovich has extensive experience advising private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on a broad range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, minority and growth investments, joint ventures, carve-outs and divestitures, restructurings, SPACs and de-SPACs, and investments in general partners. She has steered complex transactions and investments across a variety of industries, including healthcare, business services, financial services, asset management, insurance, consumer products, entertainment, technology, infrastructure, and energy.
Alperovich is a veteran of Kirkland & Ellis, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and Greenberg Traurig, where she was a shareholder.
