Align Capital Partners expands Dallas team

Align Capital Partners (ACP), a growth-oriented private equity firm that targets control investments in lower middle market companies, has added two new team members to its Dallas office.

Matt Iodice joins as Vice President while Maseel Mir is Director of Finance and Chief Compliance Officer. With these new hires, the team at Align Capital Partners now totals 12 individuals.
 
Iodice oined ACP upon graduating from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Prior to business school, he spent three years at Saw Mill Capital, a middle market private equity firm that acquires manufacturing, industrial services, and specialty distribution businesses. While at Saw Mill, Matt identified and executed new investment opportunities, performed transactional due diligence, and partnered with senior management teams to develop, implement, and monitor strategic growth initiatives. Prior to his tenure at Saw Mill, Iodice was an investment banker at Harris Williams & Co. Iodice earned a BBA in Finance, Investment and Banking from the University of Wisconsin- Madison.
 
Maseel Mir, Director of Finance and Chief Compliance Officer, joined ACP from TPG Capital where he spent over three years in the Business Unit Finance group. During his tenure at TPG, Maseel worked on the Capital and Growth platforms where he coordinated with deal teams, legal, tax, and other departments to expeditiously close transactions. Maseel was also responsible for managing the accounting of multi-billion dollar funds at TPG. Prior to joining TPG, Maseel was an Associate Director at Point 72 Asset Management (formerly known as SAC Capital). Earlier in his career, Maseel also worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland and KPMG. Maseel is a Certified Public Accountant and has earned a B.B.A. and a Master of Science in Accounting, both from James Madison University.
