Prior to joining Altium, Clark spent 13 years at Close Brothers, Houlihan Lokey and latterly DC Advisory. He has advised both private equity and corporate clients on a range of transactions including acquisition financings, refinancings, dividend recapitalisations, staple debt financing, and restructurings across a variety of sectors. Prior to this, Clark worked in asset management at JP Morgan.
Chambers spent seven years at DC Advisory where he advised both private equity and corporate clients on a wide range of acquisition financings, refinancings, dividend recapitalisations, staple debt financing, and restructurings. Prior to this, Chambers spent six years at Barclays with roles in the investment banking division, leveraged finance and property teams. He was an engineer at Rolls Royce before he joined Barclays.
Clark and Chambers have led and completed 24 debt advisory transactions since the start of 2013.
Phil Adams, chief executive at Altium, says: “We are delighted to welcome Richard and Simon to Altium. We have had a fantastic response to these hires which further strengthen our position in the market. In the last two years we have completed over 70 deals with a value of c. GBP7 billion and believe that the recruitment of such a high quality team will increase both the volume and average size of our transactions. We have a long tradition of offering independent advice to our clients on all options available to them, whether public or private, and the addition of a specialist UK debt team will enhance the service we offer.”
