Alven Capital holds first closing of 3G fund at EUR80m

The French venture capital firm, Alven Capital has held its first closing on a third generation fund at EUR80 million within six months of fundraising.

The French venture capital firm, Alven Capital has held its first closing on a third generation fund at EUR80 million within six months of fundraising. The fund has a target size of EUR100 million.
 
In addition to its historical investors, including CDC Entreprises, the first closing has been held with approximately ten French and European leading institutional investors including funds of funds, pension funds and insurance companies together with several family offices.
 
Alven Capital will pursue the same investment strategy focusing on ‘low tech’ and fast-growing French companies and will continue to focus on the three following sectors: 

  • Media/Internet,
  • Innovative Services,
  • Vertical Business Applications.

Alven Capital was founded in 1999 by Guillaume Aubin and Charles Letourneur. Nicolas Célier,  Partner, joined the team in 2005.
