Apposite Capital, the private equity firm with an exclusive focus on healthcare, has appointed Rory Pope as Partner and member of its Management Board. Pope has been working with Apposite as a full-time consultant since March.
In addition, Apposite has also appointed Alexander Cunynghame as Investment Executive.
Pope brings over 20 years of deal making experience in private equity and corporate finance. Prior to joining Apposite Capital, Rory was at BGF Group plc where he was co-head of the healthcare and lifesciences team having joined BGF in 2012 from Advent International where he had been a Partner. Rory joined Advent in 1998 and was co-head of Advent’s European healthcare and lifesciences team. He has invested in a broad range of companies operating across the sector in pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical services, animal health, medical equipment, healthcare services and social care.
Cunynghame has joined Apposite Capital from the Deloitte Healthcare and Life Sciences Corporate Finance Advisory team, having previously worked in audit in the Banking and Capital Markets group. During his time at Deloitte, he advised on various buy-side and sell-side mandates across various healthcare sub-sectors including telecare, specialist care homes and the fostering markets.
