Argand Partners (Argand), a New York- and San Francisco Bay Area-based industrials private equity firm, has added two new hires to its investment team, with the appointments of Ford Harrington as vice president and Peter Derby as Associate.
Prior to joining Argand, Harrington led corporate development at Navisite, an IT services portfolio company of Madison Dearborn Partners. Previously, he was a vice president at Highline Management, a lower middle market private equity fund where he focused on Business Services and Healthcare Services investments. Prior to Highline, Harrington was at Walden Capital, a family office focused primarily on Consumer investments. Harrington began his career as an investment banking analyst at CIBC World Markets. He holds a BA in History from Harvard College and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
Derby joins Argand from AlpInvest | The Carlyle Group, where he was an associate focused on private equity co-investments. Previously, Derby was an investment banking analyst at Guggenheim Securities. He holds a BBA in Finance with a specialisation in Alternative Asset Management and a minor in Mandarin Chinese from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business.
