Arlington launches naval services platform Highwater

Private investment firm Arlington Capital Partners has launched Highwater, a global naval services platform focused on vessel preservation, repair and specialist sustainment services for US, Australian and allied fleets.

The platform combines Arlington portfolio company Eptec Defence with AMP United, a US provider of naval preservation, structural and scaffolding services.

Highwater will support naval programmes across submarines, carriers and surface ships, with more than 600 employees operating from locations including Norfolk, San Diego, Honolulu, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.

The company will provide services including surface preparation, coatings, containment, abatement, scaffolding and structural support, which are designed to accelerate repair cycles and extend the service life of ships and submarines.

Steve Zogas will serve as chief executive of Highwater. As part of the launch, Highwater has also appointed Vice Admiral William Galinis, former commander of Naval Sea Systems Command, to its board of directors.
