Armen, a private investment firm that focuses on minority shareholder investments in European alternative investment companies through GP stakes transactions, has bolstered its team with the appointment of Max Darque as Investment Director in London.
Darque Max brings 12 years of international experience in global private equity and capital markets. Prior to joining Armen, he was a Senior Investment Director at private investment office, Praesidium, where he invested in European and US private equity with a focus on primary funds and co-investments, building a portfolio of 20-plus co-investments and over 50 funds.
Prior to that, Darque co-founded Alterum, a SaaS platform which enables private equity firms to gather, analyse and share investment data with LPs. Max started his private investment career as a Private equity analyst in SVG Capital, which entered into a joint venture with Aberdeen to create Aberdeen SVG Private Equity.
Between 2014 and 2017 Max was based in Philadelphia and Boston where he covered the US private equity market. He began his career in 2009 as a software engineer at Logica in the United Kingdom.
