Astorg is expanding its Portfolio Performance team with two senior hires based in London – Keith Beattie as Partner to oversee the portfolio Operations team and Markus Nagel as Managing Director to the Operational Finance practice.
Beattie will report to Benjamin Cordonnier, Head of Portfolio Performance and Partner, Business Services while Nagle will report to Beattie.
According to a press statement, Astorg’s Portfolio Performance team’s mission is “to partner with the investment teams and further accelerate the long-term growth and performance of its portfolio companies, leveraging transformational generalist capabilities and functional playbooks across some of the core areas contributing to enhancing performance, such as operations, finance, ESG and digital.”
Keith and Markus will work alongside Astorg’s Head of ESG, Viviana Occhionorelli, and Head of Digital, Valérie Legat.
Prior to joining Astorg, Beattie spent over a decade at McKinsey & Company where he helped to establish the firm’s McKinsey Transformation business. Prior to that, he held various consulting advisory roles including at Alvarez & Marsal Europe LLP, and Gemini Consulting, with a focus on turnaround and performance improvement situations.
In his previous role, Nagel was the Global Finance Practice Lead and part of the Operational Excellence Team at Apax Partners. He later took on the role of CFO at its portfolio company, EcoOnline. Prior to that, Nagel held CFO roles at Britax and Hünnebeck, as well as overseeing Operational Finance at Sun European Partners.
