Astorg, a pan-European private equity firm with over €23bn of assets under management, has promoted Chris Cozzone and Olivier Lieven to Partner and announced an additional seven Managing Director promotions.
Cozzone joined Astorg in 2020 and works in the investment team based in New York. He has been a driving force in building Astorg’s Technology platform in North America. Cozzone, who currently serves on the board of Corsearch, holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Mines ParisTech, a Master of Science in Finance from Paris Sorbonne and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Lieven joined Astorg in 2015 and works in the investment team in the firm’s New York office. He has played a crucial role in enhancing Astorg’s leadership position in the Healthcare sector, particularly within Pharma Services.
Lieven led the recent take-private transaction of Hamilton Thorne and the simultaneous acquisition of Cook Medical’s Reproductive Health business. Currently serving on the boards of Clario, Cytel, and OPEN Health, Lieven is a Graduate Civil Engineer from Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris, and he holds a Master of Science in Economics from the Paris School of Economics.
The seven new Managing Directors meanwhile, are: Nathan Geerinck, Bastien Hermans, Daniel Müller and Chuck Sandilya, all members of Astorg’s investment team; Alexandre Falewee, a member of the Capital Markets team; Camille Lebargy, a member of the HR team; and Nathalie Medawar, a member of the ESG team.
