Los Angeles-based global private investment firm Atar Capital has appointed Nick Polanski as Director. In his new role, Polanski will oversee commercial and operational due diligence in transactions as well as provide operational support to Atar’s companies.
Polanski joined Atar Capital from Frisco Capital, which he founded earlier this year and is described as a “self-funded search fund focused on acquiring US based manufacturing or service businesses from retiring owners” on his LinkedIn profile. Prior to Frisco, he served as President of Filtration at Culligan International, a global water treatment company based in the US.
He also worked at Next Level Partners, where he was in a management consulting role and specialised in private equity-owned turnarounds. Polanski started his career at Danaher, followed by roles at Stanley Black & Decker, Assa Abloy, Innocor and General Electric.
Polanski’s appointment follows Atar Capital’s exit from Microcel, a distributor of lifestyle products in Canada, to TDL Gentek last month.
