Stamford, Connecticut-based Atlantic Street Capital, a private equity firm with a focus on lower middle-market distressed and deep value investments, has announced it is strengthening its management team with the appointment of Timothy Lewis as a partner.

Lewis has over 15 years of experience as a manager, interim manager and advisor to middle market companies and has been involved with the operational and performance improvement of companies across a broad range of industry sectors, including manufacturing, distribution, business services and media.

Most recently he was a partner and member of the management committee of CRG Partners Group, a turnaround and performance improvement consulting firm.

‘We are extremely pleased to have a seasoned professional like Tim join our team. He is very familiar with the dynamics of private equity investing and will deepen our ability to identify investment opportunities as well as to transform the operations of those companies. During his career, Lewis has held executive positions in operations and corporate development, including managing multi-plant manufacturing operations and account teams serving Fortune 500 retailers. Consulting leadership roles have included interim management for businesses implementing operational turnarounds and financial adviser for businesses in crisis.

Prior to joining CRG, Lewis was with TRG, one of its predecessor firms. Prior to that he was an executive with RHC Spacemaster, where he held divisional leadership positions and managed corporate restructuring efforts. He also was a consultant with Keystone Consulting Group, where he led projects to support clients’ profitable growth and restructure underperforming operations.

Atlantic Street Capital has also announced that Andrew Wilkins, who has been a principal of the firm since 2006, has been promoted to partner.
