Azalea CEO Lui to step down

Margaret Lui, Chief Executive Officer of Azalea Investment Management, the private equity firm owned by Singapore’s Temasek, is to retire on 31 March, 2025. With Chief Investment Officer Chue En Yaw set to take on her role on 1 April.

According to a statement release by the $11bn fund manager, Lui, who has dedicated four decades to the Temasek group, will remain involved with Azalea as an adviser and will continue to serve on the investment committees for the firm’s existing private equity funds.

Azalea is a subsidiary of Seviora Holdings, which is fully owned by Temasek, the Singaporean state investment firm managing SGD389bn (approximately $283.6bn) in assets as of 31 March, 2024.

Chue, who joined Azalea in 2018, has played a key role in expanding the firm’s offerings, including the development of the Altrium private equity platform, which provides accredited investors with access to global private equity funds.
