Bain appoints Benelux cluster head

Bain & Company has appointed partner Cédric Bovy as managing partner of its Amsterdam and Brussels offices and head of its Benelux cluster, with immediate effect.

Bovy takes on the expanded leadership role as Bain’s business across Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg continues to grow, driven by strong client demand across its advisory practices. He succeeds Nicolas Willemot, who led the Brussels office for more than seven years and the Amsterdam office since 2024, and who was recently named global head of Bain’s Consumer Products practice.

A Bain partner since 2006, Bovy previously led the firm’s Benelux Private Equity and Financial Investors practice and is a senior member of its Consumer Products team. He has extensive experience advising private equity firms, financial investors, family offices and PE-backed portfolio companies, with a focus on commercial and operational due diligence, value creation and performance improvement.

Based in Brussels, Bovy has also held leadership roles within Bain’s talent and human resources organisation in the region. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MSc in Business Engineering from the Louvain School of Management.

Alongside Bovy’s appointment, Bain said Vincent Goffin, a partner in its Energy & Natural Resources and Private Equity practices, will become head of the Brussels office, succeeding Caroline Grauwels, who will return to a client-facing role under the firm’s rotational leadership model.
