Bain & Company, a consulting partner to the private equity industry and its stakeholders, has appointed Jamie Cleghorn as global head of its customer practice, reinforcing the firm’s focus on customer-led growth transformations across both B2B and B2C markets.
The customer practice helps clients integrate strategy, technology, and front-office execution to accelerate revenue performance, particularly as businesses increasingly leverage AI, data, and digital engagement to meet evolving client expectations. Cleghorn will lead Bain’s global team of practitioners, expanding AI-enabled solutions and front-office growth capabilities for private equity-backed and corporate clients alike.
Based in Chicago, Cleghorn brings 15 years of experience in customer-centric growth, having co-developed Bain’s Commercial Excellence Solution, the B2B Elements of Value framework, and the Sales Play System. His expertise spans technology-focused businesses and private equity-backed growth transformations.
He succeeds Darci Darnell, who led the practice for seven years, advancing Bain’s customer-led growth agenda and digital transformation initiatives. Bain said Cleghorn’s appointment positions the firm to “help clients move further, faster” in embedding AI and modern growth practices into their operating models.
