Baker McKenzie adds Transactional Practice Partner

Baker McKenzie has continued the expansion of its global transactional team with the appointment of lawyer Jenny Liu as a Partner working from the firm’s New York and Palo Alto offices.

Liu’s practice covers a variety of private equity and strategic M&A transactions, advising private equity firms on the full range of transaction types, including leveraged buyouts, control acquisitions, and minority investments.

Recognised by The Deal on its list of “Top Women in Dealmaking,” Liu represents strategic businesses in mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions of privately and publicly held businesses across a wide range of industries.

Since the start of 2025, the firm has welcomed London-based partners Mark Thompson, Nick Benson, Kevin Heverin, James Wyatt and Michal Berkner; Jan Schubert in Frankfurt; Todd Beauchamp and Charles Weinstein in Washington, DC; Dan Ouyang, Winfield Lau, Ke (Ronnie) Li in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong; Alexander Stathopolous in Singapore; Chris Milliken in Ho Chi Minh; Bima Sarumpaet in Jakarta; Andres Barroso in Mexico City; and Miju Damodar in New York.

Liu earned her BA from the University of California, San Diego, and her JD from Cornell Law School. She is licensed to practice in New York and California.
