Bastion Infrastructure Group hires Enrique Fuentes for investment team

Bastion Infrastructure Group has appointed Enrique Fuentes as a partner on the company’s investment team.

He will be based in Toronto, Canada.

Fuentes has over 20 years of infrastructure investment and management experience. He brings industrial and financial expertise as a strategic investor and asset manager from his 13 years with Cintra and Ferrovial, where he was responsible for overseeing the build-out of their concession business in roads and airports.

Most recently, Fuentes was senior director of global infrastructure for KPMG where he provided advice to governments on the development and implementation of public-private partnerships and to developers and investors interested in investing in and managing transportation projects.

Ron Lepin, managing partner of Bastion, says: “Enrique has deep knowledge and experience that is unparalleled in this industry and he is regarded as a top global infrastructure expert. With his vast experience of investing in, and managing global infrastructure assets while at a construction and development firm, he brings a unique perspective that I believe will greatly benefit our clients. We are excited to have Enrique join our team. His joining represents another critical milestone for Bastion as we continue to build our investment team with experienced and proven infrastructure investors.”

Fuentes says: “I am delighted to be joining Bastion. I believe the firm brings a new perspective to the infrastructure investment industry, combining financial and technical acumen within a team that has a proven track record of making successful investments. The importance they place on investment culture, independence and team work are big attractions for me.”
