BDO appoints two new partners

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP is growing its tax and corporate finance teams with the appointment of two new partners this week. Both partners have significant private equity experience – an area of real growth for the firm.

Ed Nevens joins BDO’s London tax group following four years at EY where he developed and led its UK private equity fund tax offering. Ed specialises in advising private equity funds and their investors on matters including fund structuring, carried interest and investor tax reporting.

Rory McPherson joins BDO’s Scotland corporate finance team following five years in structured finance with Royal Bank of Scotland. Rory specialises in M&A and has over 15 years’ experience advising entrepreneurs and private equity-backed businesses.

Rory joins newly-promoted transaction services partner, Craig Martin, to lead BDO’s award-winning corporate finance practice in Scotland.

Paul Eagland, managing partner at BDO, says: “Appointing Ed and Rory reflects our continued commitment in ensuring our UK and international clients across a range of sectors and regions receive the very best advice during uncertain times.

“They both bring a wealth of experience in advising high-growth, entrepreneurial and private equity-backed companies, and add further weight to our offering in this area.”
