Placement agency BerchWood Partners has promoted Paola Tarazi to partner in its London office.
Tarazi (pictured) will continue to lead the expansion of the firm across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with a particular focus on originating new client relationships, managing fundraising mandates, and distributing funds.
David Berchenbriter, founder of BerchWood, says: “We are delighted to welcome Paola as a partner of the firm. She has brought a depth of experience in placements and has a significant background in private equity fund of funds, asset management, and strategy consulting. During her time at BerchWood, she has proven to be an invaluable asset to the firm, building out the London office, which now includes four professionals, and expanding the firm’s reach on both the GP and LP sides.”
“We have succeeded in enhancing the BerchWood brand as a leading global placement firm, and positioning it in the EMEA region, by building a team with the necessary language skills and local knowledge to properly cover key investor accounts in each region,” says Tarazi. “Building on the firm’s strengths, my challenge going forward is to focus on partnering with best-in-class managers and selecting investment strategies that are underwritten by the strongest fundamentals, presenting the best opportunities for our investor base in a given cycle. At BerchWood, we pride ourselves on our ability to understand the strengths and limitations of an investment thesis and deliver an honest assessment of the opportunity to investors.”
As a Partner, Tarazi will continue to contribute to building the firm, working to diversify its client base and strengthen relationships with key investor accounts.
