Berkshire Partners has appointed Gideon Argov as an advisory director.
Argov (pictured) will work with Berkshire to source new investment ideas and serve as an operating adviser to portfolio companies.

Argov serves as director of JM Huber, Beechcraft, Servotronix and Energy Points. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the International Council of the Belfer Center at the John F Kennedy School of Government. He is involved in numerous non-profit organisations including Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and the Inter-Disciplinary Center (IDC) in Herzliya, Israel where he founded the Shlomo Argov Fellows Program for public sector leadership.
Gideon previously served as chief executive officer of Entegris, a provider of materials and components to the semiconductor and electronics industries, and was a managing director of Parthenon Capital. For nearly a decade, he was chairman and chief executive of Kollmorgen, a factory automation and electro-optical systems provider. Gideon also served as a combat officer and Company Commander in the armoured corps of the Israel Defence Forces.
