bfinance strengthens Middle East presence

bfinance, an independently owned investment consultancy, has added to its service and advisory capabilities in the Middle East with the hire of a senior consultant.

Navneet Maheshwari joins from Nasdaq Dubai and will be responsible for local market client relations for bfinance across the Middle East as well as the development of new business opportunities in the region.

At Nasdaq Dubai, Maheshwari was responsible for building the exchange’s equity capital markets business in the MENA and CIS region.

Previously, Maheshwari worked for five year with Partners Group, a leading global private markets investment manager in their Switzerland and Singapore offices before relocating to Dubai to set up the Middle East office for the firm where he was responsible for institutional sales in the MENA region. Prior to joining Partners Group, he worked at The Chatterjee Group, a public and private markets investor in India, and at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

David Vafai, CEO of bfinance, says: "The Middle East region is an important one for our business at bfinance. In the last year we have advised an increasing number of significant investors who have been seeking the international exposure, experience and in-depth investment expertise that we can offer across multiple asset classes. Navneet is a seasoned client relationship professional and we look forward to the strong contribution that he will make to our growing network and business in the region."
