UK and Ireland growth capital investor BGF has named Tracy Bownes as its new Head of Value Creation, strengthening the firm’s operational support for portfolio companies. Bownes joins from LDC, where she served as a Partner.
Bownes has more than 25 years of experience in M&A and commercial leadership and has worked on over 30 private equity investments and held senior roles at Lumon, Moneycorp, BCIS, Sedex, IGG, and the RBS Special Opportunities Fund.
At BGF, Bownes will lead the 10-strong Value Creation team, which works closely with portfolio companies to drive growth and unlock enterprise value. She will also join the firm’s Investment Committee and Investment Leadership Team.
BGF’s Value Creation team provides portfolio companies with operational support, sector expertise, and access to one of the UK and Ireland’s largest networks of business leaders. Through this combination of patient minority capital and hands-on guidance, the firm aims to accelerate growth, navigate complexity, and enhance long-term performance across its portfolio.
