BizLink Holding Inc has agreed to acquire Interplex Datacom from Blackstone Inc in an $850m cash transaction, marking a strategic expansion for the Taiwanese industrial and technology group into advanced connectivity solutions, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The deal also includes up to an additional $50m in contingent payments and is expected to close in the second half of the year, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
Interplex Datacom, which operates in the information and communications technology components space, forms part of Blackstone’s broader portfolio following its 2022 acquisition of Interplex from Baring Private Equity Asia. The business was later restructured, including the separation of its automotive connector division into a standalone entity, Ennovi.
BizLink, a supplier of interconnect solutions spanning industrial, medical, and high-performance electronics applications, said the acquisition will strengthen its exposure to fast-growing demand from customers in sectors such as data infrastructure and advanced manufacturing. The company has recently benefited from strong investor sentiment, with its Taipei-listed shares up sharply year-to-date.
The transaction underscores continued private equity portfolio optimisation by Blackstone, which remains active in reshaping assets acquired during the last cycle to align with sector-specific growth themes, including electrification and medical technology.
Advisory roles on the transaction included Citigroup Inc, which acted as exclusive financial adviser to BizLink and is also providing acquisition financing, while JPMorgan Chase & Co advised Blackstone on the sale.
