The BlackRock Investment Institute continues to invest into its global research platform with the goal of helping portfolio managers become even better investors and to deliver thought-provoking investment insights to clients. To this end, it has appointed two additional senior experts to its global research team:

Prior to joining BlackRock, Rice led the work at the Financial Stability Board Secretariat on evaluating the effects of the G20 financial regulatory reforms. She previously served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Financial Stability and Regulation at the US Department of Treasury; and worked for more than a decade in the Federal Reserve System.
Ludovic Phalippou, professor of financial economics at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, has joined BII as a part-time advisor on private markets. Phalippou specialises in private equity and asset management. He is the author of the best-selling book “Private Equity laid bare” and in 2016 was named one of the 20 most influential people in Private Equity by the industry magazine Real Deals.
Jean Boivin, Global Head of Research for the Blackrock Investment Institute, says: “The appointments of Elga Bartsch, Tara Rice and Ludovic Phalippou are testament to the breadth and depth of the BlackRock Investment Institute’s research capabilities, and we are delighted to be able to offer our investors and clients even more profound insights into the key trends and developments shaping markets today.”
