BlackRock is planning to bring two more private equity European Long-Term Investment Funds (ELTIF) to market in 2023, after raising €415m for the firm’s second ELTIF bringing total fundraising to almost €1 billion, according to a report by InvestmentWeek.
The Private Infrastructure Opportunities ELTIF exceeded fundraising targets and follows BlackRock’s Private Equity Opportunities ELTIF, which closed in April with €509 million in capital commitments.
The firm’s €415m ELTIF will look to invest in a portfolio of global private infrastructure projects, with at least 50% of the portfolio comprising infrastructure co-investments within Europe.
The fund’s focus will be on digitalisation, decarbonisation and decentralisation opportunities in a range of sectors including transportation and logistics, energy, power and utilities, telecommunications and environmental and social infrastructure.
