Blackstone acquires €700m Paris trophy office asset

Blackstone has confirmed the acquisition of a landmark office property in Paris for around €700m ($819m), highlighting renewed appetite among private equity real estate investors for prime European office assets, according to a report by Reuters.

The century-old Centre d’Affaires building, located in the city’s Trocadéro district, was purchased from German investor Union Investment, which originally acquired the asset in 2003 for €284m. Reuters previously reported the building had also attracted interest from rival bidders including US real estate group Hines.

The 41,000 sq m mixed-use complex includes premium office space alongside 57 luxury apartments, dining outlets, and cafés. The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2025.

The deal comes as office markets stabilise after a sharp post-pandemic correction, with investors showing increasing interest in “trophy” assets in prime urban locations, even as large-scale transactions remain relatively scarce.
