BNP Paribas Asset Management has appointed Linda Fodil and Thibault Sartori as Private Debt Investment directors to support its new direct lending strategy. Both will be based in Paris and report to Christophe Carrasco, Head of Private Debt.
Fodil has over 20 years’ experience, including roles at AXA IM and HSBC, specialising in senior and unitranche debt. Sartori, with over a decade in direct lending, previously worked at LFPI and UniCredit, focusing on small to mid-cap financing.
BNP Paribas, which has financed 250 companies with €1.7bn (£1.4bn) through its European SME debt funds since 2016, is launching a direct lending fund targeting sponsor-backed corporates in Western Europe with EBITDA of €5m-€30m.
