Teakwood Capital, a Dallas, Texas private equity firm, has appointed Ed H Bowman as Executive Partner.
In this role, Bowman will be responsible for serving as a strategic advisor to portfolio company leadership to support and maximise potential outcomes. As part of this, he will proactively support senior management to drive success and manage operations via metrics and accountability, ensuring all functions of the company are working well individually and as a cohesive unit.
“Teakwood’s Executive Partner Program retains seasoned, successful c-level executives like Ed who have vast industry experience and have led companies through substantial periods of growth and liquidity events,” said Shawn Kelly, Managing Director at Teakwood Capital. “We are excited to have recruited such strong talent in Ed and are confident our portfolio companies will greatly benefit from his deep knowledge and track record of success.”
Currently, Bowman serves as Chairman and CEO of TRNT Holdings, LLC. Having served as CEO in both public and private company environments, he has raised more than USD1.6 billion in seven debt and equity transactions, and has extensive experience in acquisitions having completed and integrated more than 70. Bowman’s past positions include serving as CEO, president and director of SourceHOV, one of the largest business process outsourcing companies. Prior to this, he held leadership roles at First Data Corporation, HBOC & Co, Insurance Systems of America and Andersen Consulting.
In an effort to maximise successful outcomes for portfolio company founders and executives, Teakwood recruits specific industry focused Executive Partners to support portfolio companies as part of its Executive Partner Program. In November 2015, the firm announced the addition of David Sikora and Dave Ellett as Executive Partners to support existing and future portfolio companies.
“We invest heavily in our portfolio companies, well before transactions close, and pride ourselves in bringing together world-class teams who bring expertise and real-world experience in every functional discipline,” says Kelly.
