Bridge Insurance Brokers is strengthening its offering to the private equity sector by becoming a member of the Chicago-based Equity Risk Partners Global network.
Equity Risk Partners Global is the only worldwide alliance of independent insurance brokers focused exclusively on the needs of the private equity industry and its portfolio companies.
Bridge’s strong reputation in this sector has led to the business being selected to become the sole UK partner in the global network.
The firm’s mergers and acquisition team, based in London and Manchester, headed up by directors Peter Warburton and Gavin Ruben, has been working in the private equity sector for more than 15 years, delivering insurance due diligence and asset protection to the private equity sector.
Roger Potts (pictured), chairman of Bridge, says: “It’s an honour to be invited to be part of such a prestigious international network of private equity insurance experts.
“Private equity firms are playing a key role in the recovery of UK economy, injecting vital investment into British businesses, and Bridge is dedicated to helping these firms manage the associated risk.
“Our goal is to redefine the role of the insurance broker in private equity financial transactions. We work as a partner to our clients from due diligence to divestiture, providing the flexibility and speed to react creatively to deal-specific hurdles and the unique needs of portfolio companies and their equity investors.
“Being a member of the Equity Risk Partners Global alliance means we have access to a network of like-minded and experienced brokers across the world who can help deliver cross border analysis and solutions, and provide the local expertise which will help customers access risk protection in countries and international markets in which they have not operated before.”
