Roll-Tite Corp, a provider of tarpaulin systems for freight transport operators, has announced that Canadian private equity firm VG Partners has backed its acquisition of the assets of bankrupt predecessor firm Roll-Tite Inc.
In February 2009, Roll-Tite Inc was placed into receivership as a result of the impact of the downturn in the transportation sector. The new company, Roll-Tite Corp, will continue to carry on business through offices and service centres located in Ontario, Canada, as well as Ohio and Nebraska in the US.
The Roll-Tite flat bed trailer system is a fully retractable mechanical covering system comprised of a sliding aluminium frame and tarpaulin fabric cover.
Roll-Tite Corp has also appointed a new company president, Roman Pankiw, a senior business executive with a wide range of experience in many business sectors including trucking and distribution.
‘For over two decades, Roll-Tite has led the industry with its innovative tarpaulin systems, and I look forward to continuing that legacy in my new role as head of the company,’ says Pankiw.
