Capital Dynamics, an independent global private asset management firm, has appointed Andrea Mazzaferro as head of primaries, Europe. Mazzaferro is taking over the position from Mark Drugan, who is retiring from the firm after 34 years of service.
In his new role, Mazzaferro will lead European investments in mid-market funds within the buyout, specialist, turnaround and growth sectors. He will work alongside fellow regional heads of the firm’s primaries strategy, Helen Lais (United States) and Manjia Guan (Asia).
Mazzaferro who is based in Milan, Italy, has worked at Capital Dynamics since 2018, and has extensive experience in evaluating, selecting and monitoring investments across private equity and debt strategies globally. He previously served as chief investment officer at Advanced Capital SGR, Capital Dynamics’ predecessor in Italy.
