Capstone, a global placement agent focused on fundraising and advisory services for private equity, credit, real assets, and infrastructure investment firms, has made a number of promotions, including two new partner appointments – Caroline Philips and Brian DeFee.
Capstone, a global placement agent focused on fundraising and advisory services for private equity, credit, real assets, and infrastructure investment firms, has made a number of promotions, including two new partner appointments – Caroline Philips and Brian DeFee.
Phillips, who is based in Europe, joined Capstone in 2009 and leads the firm’s European operations, while DeFee, who originally joined the firm in 2012 and then re-joined in 2023,  is responsible for distribution and client origination in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States as well as Eastern Canada. He also leads the firm’s infrastructure and real assets advisory efforts.
In addition to the two new partners, Capstone has made three further promotions – Aude Pouradier Duteil and Hannah Opatowsky have been promoted to principal, and Stefano Prior to associate.

Pouradier Duteil joined Capstone in 2019 and leads the European business development efforts; Opatowsky joined Capstone in 2014 and works on project management, including client positioning, documentation and diligence requests; while Prior joined Capstone in 2017 and works on project management, including client documentation and diligence requests.
