Centerbridge Partners has selected SEI to provide a customised operating platform for its private equity and credit businesses.
Through its Investment Manager Services division, SEI supplies customised operating infrastructure and services to investment organisations around the world.
SEI drew on its global operating platform to provide Centerbridge with a solution tailored to its fund administration, fund accounting, middle-office and investor servicing requirements for both its private equity and credit businesses. Centerbridge also intends to use additional SEI capabilities for collateral management, treasury services and regulatory reporting.
"We chose SEI with an eye to the future because their operating solution has the flexibility to do what we need today and can also accommodate new funds and new strategies as we grow," says Jeffrey A Gelfand, Senior Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Centerbridge. "They are culturally aligned to our values and management style, and that flows through their entire organization. Having access to experienced professionals who understand the 'ins' and 'outs' of private investment fund operations is a significant value-add to our firm."
"We are very pleased to be selected by such a forward-looking and sophisticated investment manager," says Jim Cass, Senior Vice President of SEI's Investment Manager Services division. "Centerbridge understands that the SEI infrastructure can be a powerful source of competitive advantage that will allow them to capitalise on the data integration and flexibility of our operating platform. Partnering with Centerbridge is further proof that our platform solutions can help successful leading-edge managers better meet client demands and gain insight into their businesses in this highly competitive environment."
