Cerberus appoints Andrew Leitten as CFO

Cerberus Capital Management has named long-time executive Andrew Leitten as Chief Financial Officer, following the departure of Deirdre O’Connor from the role, according to a report by Bloomberg citing sources with knowledge of the matter.

Leitten, who has been with the New York-based alternative investment firm for over 14 years, steps into the CFO position amid a period of leadership changes and continued strategic growth at the $65bn AUM manager.

The firm reportedly declined to comment on the leadership transition.

O’Connor joined Cerberus in 2023, bringing prior experience from senior finance roles at BlackRock, Sculptor Capital Management, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley.

In a further senior appointment, Cerberus has promoted Sophia Park to Global Head of Corporate Finance. Park, previously Managing Director overseeing fund accounting, investor reporting, and regulatory reporting, has been with the firm for more than eight years.

Cerberus, which invests across corporate credit, private equity, and real estate, continues to evolve its leadership structure following the appointment of co-founder Steve Feinberg as US Deputy Secretary of Defense earlier this year.
