Churchill Asset Management, an investment-specialist of Nuveen which provides customised financing solutions to private equity firms and their portfolio companies, has appointed Bennett (Ben) Love has Principal and Head of Fund Finance.
In this newly created role, Love will be responsible for the development of Churchill’s overall leverage strategy, as well as the sourcing, execution and monitoring of financing arrangements across the platform. Love will be focused on all forms of bilateral and syndicated lending facilities, as well as public and private debt solutions, including collateralized loan obligations (CLOs). Based in the firm’s Charlotte, NC office, he will report directly to Shai Vichness, Churchill’s Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to joining Churchill, Love spent 12 years at Wells Fargo, most recently serving as Director of Corporate Debt Finance. In this role, he was responsible for relationship origination and management of middle market private credit managers, as well as leading the structuring and execution of various types of lending facilities and CLO transactions.
Love received his BBA from Roanoke College and his MBA from Queens University of Charlotte. Additionally, he is a CFA charterholder.
