Citi makes two investment bank hires to advise on PE exits

Citigroup has appointed Edward Joudrey as Co-Head of UK and Europe sell-side M&A, and Matt Merriman as a Director, to strengthen its advisory offering on assets sales for private equity clients, according to a report by Bloomberg.

Joudrey, who previously worked at Bank of America before joining J Safra Sarasin last year to build out the bank’s advisory arm, will work alongside Matias Brechner and report to Citi’s European M&A heads Barry Weir and Robin Rousseau.

Merriman meanwhile, was hired from Deutsche Bank and will report to Joudrey and Brechner.

Both bankers will be based in London.
